During the heating season, the topic of smog comes back. Air contaminated with exhaust fumes, lead and smoke gets into our offices, shops and other places we visit every day. What can we do to improve quality of the air that we breathe every day?
We will not get rid of this problem within days or even years. The elimination of smog in the air is a complex process, requiring, above all, greater social awareness.
However, there are ways to make the air quality change in a few moments – just by replacing the air filters in the ventilation unit of the building. In fact, filters are those elements of ventilation units that are responsible for the separation of contaminants from the air blown to the buildings to the greatest extent. In the period of increased consumption (autumn-winter), when the filters have to keep much more contaminants on their surface, their efficiency decreases with faster consumption. This is the reason why in winter filters should be replaced more often than in spring and summer, which in turn guarantees that the air we breathe in a ventilated building is free from smog and other contaminants.
